The Linda Kerley Center (LKC), opened in 2017, provides services and activities specifically designed for those who are 50 years of age and older. The facility consists of two open areas, gym, kitchen, and billiard room. The Linda Kerley Center is located at 175 West Poplar Avenue with the main entrance accessible on Poplar Avenue. For questions about current programs or registration, please call staff at 901-457-2769.

Facility Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Exercise

Instructors:	Sara Holland, Stacey Brandl, Michelle Sumner
Fee:	$10 for 12 visits. Punch card purchased on-site. First class is free!
Day/Time:	Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10:30-11:15 a.m.
Location	Linda Kerley Center, 175 W Poplar Ave.
Description:	Suitable for all fitness levels with the option to sit or stand. Class consists of stretching, toning, exercise weights, balance exercises, and more. Group usually arrives early for a warm-up walk before class.

Line Dancing

Instructors:	Michelle Sumner
Fee:	$15 for 5 classes; $30 for 10 classes. Punch card purchased on-site. First class is free!
Day/Time:	Beginner Class: Monday, 1-1:30 p. m. ($2) Line Dance Class: Monday & Thursday, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Location	Linda Kerley Center, 175 W Poplar Ave.
Description:	A fun, healthy way to stay active while connecting your mind to movement, rhythm and music with others. Learn at least one new dance each week. A beginner class is held each Monday prior to class time.

Chair Yoga - Stretch, Balance, Breath

Instructors:	Stacey Brandl and Michelle Summer
Fee:	$15 for 12 visits. Punch card purchased on-site.
Day/Time:	Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays, 9:30-10:15 a.m.
Location:	Linda Kerley Center, 175 W Poplar Ave.
Description:	This class is ideal for all levels with the option to sit or stand. Using a chair for support, the class helps participants to perform balancing poses and breathing/flexibility exercises with confidence and comfort.

Bingo

Bingo is back at the Linda Kerley Center!

Day:	Second Tuesday of the month - see flyer for dates
Time:	11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Fee:	Lunch is $7 and should be paid by Wednesday the week prior to the event. Bring a unopened and unused $1 gift item. Top prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners

Movies at the LKC

Art & Education

Creative Aging brings exciting workshops to the Linda Kerley Center including Printmaking, Paper Collage, and Spanish Lessons. Classes are free, but enrollment is limited. Please call (901) 457-2769 for more details and to register.

The Linda Kerley Center hosts a variety of workshops organized by Creative Aging of the Mid-South, an organization dedicated to bringing professional artists at locations where seniors live and gather. Check out them out online at creativeagingmidsouth.org.

Leisure Activities

Billiard Room for leisure play during business hours Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Corn Hole ~ 2 professional sets are available for use on Tuesdays from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Reading Library & Book Swap includes a variety of books donated by facility participants.
Puzzle Swap ~ Do you love to work puzzles? Come see our collection of puzzles to enjoy.
Mexican Train Dominoes ~ Group play on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. Contact staff at 901-457-2769 to get on a contact list.
Hand-n-Foot Cards (Weekly Games) ~ If you are looking to get connected to a group for play, please contact staff at 901-457-2769.
Chess Group ~ Join us on Fridays from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Bring a board and set, if you have one).

There are a variety of board games, card games and domino sets are available for use at the Linda Kerley Center.
