Let me be among the first to welcome you to Collierville. I have the pleasure of meeting new Collierville residents almost every day and whether it’s at a soccer game or at lunch at one of our locally owned restaurants, their comments have a common theme: “We love living in Collierville!”

On behalf of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, as well as some 499 Town employees and more than 2,300 volunteers, we are glad you chose to call Collierville home. We hope you will find the information here helpful as you learn of the many services the Town provides.

I find that people like Collierville for many reasons - a great school system, the small town atmosphere, award winning parks and recreation facilities, first rate office and retail developments and beautiful neighborhoods. Through many years of visionary planning Collierville has grown to be known as one of the most desirable communities in the nation to live, work and learn. We have all the amenities and services of a large metropolitan area successfully blended with historic charm and character.

In the last couple of years the national spotlight has been squarely focused on our community. In 2014, Parade Magazine recognized Collierville as having “America’s Best Main Street” for our historic and charming downtown and the quality and vibrancy of our Town Square. In the same year, Collierville was designated by the White House as one of the nation’s “Preserve America Communities” for our ongoing efforts to preserve Collierville’s rich history and character. Backgroundchecks.org listed Collierville as one of the "The Safest Cities in Tennessee", and other consumer publications listed Collierville as the “best city in Tennessee for job seekers” and one of the "top cities in Tennessee”.

One of the foundational elements of a great community is a quality education system. Collierville has always been known for great schools and last year we took a significant step toward securing the future of education in our community by creating the new Collierville School system. Collierville Schools serve approximately 8,000 students from a wide array of social and cultural backgrounds.

Being new to Collierville I know you are looking for resources to help find your way around. Your best source of information is our website colliervilletn.gov. It has information about our departments, services, park facilities, library services and much more. I also invite you to follow us on social media (@townofcollierville).
