Bellevue Female College

This exhibition is dedicated to Collierville's own Bellevue Female College (founded in 1872 and operated until 1904). Through photographs, artifacts, and interactive displays visitors are invited to explore the school's legacy in the region, how their graduates made a mark on the world, and why their experiences shaped their lives and the lives of those around them. This is a must-see for anyone interested in the history of education in Tennessee!
The Clarene Russell Collection

This exhibition is dedicated to the life and accomplishments of Collierville's Town Historian, Clarene Pinkston Russell (1926-2022). Russell's dedication to uncovering local history recently culminated in the largest donation of artifacts the Morton Museum has ever received. Discover her legacy in the region, methods of conducting research, and how she interpreted this information in her 1994 publication, "Collierville, Tennessee: Her People and Neighbors".
Gentle Awakenings: The Art of Keith Burns
January 17 - April 21, 2023
A woodworker since the early 1990s, Collierville resident Keith Burns (1948 - 2021) began experimenting with the process of woodturning in 2004. Burns produced a large quantity of work from his backyard workshop, focusing mainly on hollow forms. Burns referred to himself as a "minimalist" turner, preferring to focus on the natural beauty found in each piece of wood.
Toys, Trains, and Traditions
November 29 - December 30, 2022
Rekindle childhood memories and spark the creation of new ones with this mini-holiday display about Wonder Products toys, once manufactured in Collierville. Also enjoy a snowy, small-scale model of Collierville Town Square featuring historic landmarks, artifacts from the Museum’s collection, and images of Collierville from winters past.
