Support the Morton Museum as a member of the Friends of the Morton Museum, a 501(c)3 established to provide volunteer support and make possible special exhibits and program outside the Museum's annual budget. Your tax-deductible contribution at any level helps the Museum build world-class exhibitions and programs that benefit the entire community. Every gift matters.

2023 School Bus Grant Fundraiser

In support of transportation funding for Morton Museum field trips, the Friends invite artists to submit original interpretations of the museum’s historic Collierville Christian Church exterior.

The first-place selection will receive a $75.00 dollar prize and will be reproduced on greeting card sets and art prints sold to raise money that will reimburse local schools for the cost of bus transportation to and from Morton Museum field trips (up to $500.00 dollars).

* Participants must be 13 years or older by August 1, 2023 to enter.

Deadline to submit: September 22, 2023 by 5:00pm CST.

Friends Projects

School Bus Grant

The Friends of the Museum offer transportation assistance to schools who participate in Morton Museum field trips. The Bus Grant reimburses bus costs up to $500.

Iris Collective / Evening Concert Series

The Friends, in partnership with the Museum, offer four concerts by Memphis' Iris Collective including two children's concerts with instrument petting zoo and two evening concerts for adults. Please visit the Museum's Facebook page for upcoming events. 

Friends Book Club

The Friends of the Museum book club meets at the Museum on the last Tuesday of every month to discuss titles connected to local/regional history and Southern authors. Please visit the Museum's Facebook page for upcoming events. 

Frisco 1351 Interpretive Signs

In 2020, The Friends recently designed and installed four interpretative signs near Frisco 1351 on Town Square. The signs explain the history of the locomotives and how it works. Learn more about the rail history of Collierville here
