Thinking about a career in law enforcement? A professional career in law enforcement awaits you with the Collierville Police Department.

The Collierville Police Department has been proud of its many accomplishments in the prevention and reduction of crime, as well as its accomplishments to the community. The department is regularly evaluated by national accreditation organizations.  Compliance with accreditation standards affirms that the Collierville Police Department is recognized as representing the very best in current law enforcement practices.

Newly employed Police Officers are sent to a Basic Police School for 12 weeks.  Upon completion of the Basic Police School, new officers are assigned to a three or four month comprehensive field training program. This work/training environment develops job confidence and expertise under the direction of qualified Training Officers with prior experience and a POST approved Basic Training School certification, upon employment, can go straight into the field training program.  Also, starting salary for an individual with prior full time law enforcement experience could be higher than the starting salary.  Starting salary is based on years of experience.
