Membership

New members are always welcome. The Friends of the Lucius E. and Elsie C. Burch, Jr. Library is a nonprofit group whose purpose is to support the Library through volunteerism, fundraising activities, and sponsorship of programs and services. Membership offers you the opportunity to share thoughts, donate your time or lend your talent.

The Friends meet the first Wednesday of each month, excluding July, at 1:00 pm in the Halle Meeting Room located at the Library. If you would like to join the Friends, you can pick up an application from the Library Information Desk, the Friends Again Book Store or download the Membership Form (PDF file) from the Friends website, colliervillefriends.org.

The annual membership fee is $10.00.

Friends Again Bookstore

The Friends of the Library operate a bookstore located in the foyer of the Collierville Burch Library. 

Hours of Service:

  • Tuesday to Friday - 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday - 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The bookstore is closed on holidays and during book sales. Please check the calendar on the Friends website for current information regarding hours of service at colliervillefriends.org.

Donations

The Friends of the Collierville Burch Library are pleased to accept new and gently used books and other library materials. Donations are either added to the library collection or sold by the Friends to raise funds for library needs. Our bookstore and book sales depend on your donations. 

We have a book drop for donations. It is located in the foyer to the left of the entry into the library. You may deposit your materials into the book drop. We welcome donations of the following new and gently used items:

  • Fiction, romance and non-fiction books, young adult books, and children’s books
  • Original DVDs and CDs
  • Textbooks and magazines

Tax donation forms are available in the Friends Again Bookstore.

Book Club

The Friends sponsor a monthly book club with reading materials provided by the Anne Babin Book Club in a Bag Program. The group meets the second Monday of each month at 2:00 p.m. in the Halle Room. New readers are always welcome.
