Find a Grave is the best place on the internet to look for burial and other final disposition information for your family, friends and famous people. The site provides tools that let people from all over the world work together, share information and build an online, virtual cemetery experience.

HERITAGE QUEST ONLINE (TEL)

This collection assembles every existing US federal census along with family genealogies, local histories, tax lists, city directories, land and probate records, birth, marriage and death records, genealogical and local history serials, and more.

TENNESSEE ARCHIVES DIRECTORY (TEL)
Provides an easy, one-stop resource for genealogists and researchers to find out about local archives in our state. On the website, click the county on the map to locate local archives within the county, or use the drop-down menu to find an archive by county or by archive's name.

TENNESSEE GENEALOGY RESOURCES (TEL)
In partnership with Ancestry.com, the Tennessee State Library and Archives is providing access to several important collections of Tennessee records. Included are death certificates, birth records, a collection of Tennessee Land Grants and a collection of early Tennessee tax lists. They are accessible to everyone in Tennessee with the creation of a free guest account.

FAMILYSEARCH.ORG RESEARCH WIKI
A free, online genealogical guide created and maintained by FamilySearch, a non-profit organization. It contains links to genealogy databases, websites, other resources, research strategies, and genealogical guidance to assist in the search for your ancestors.

Local Organizations

GERMANTOWN REGIONAL HISTORY AND GENEALOGY CENTER (GRHGC)

Collections consist of non-circulating, research-level collections of books, ephemera, microfilm, computer-based files, periodicals, photographs, maps and vertical files on the cultural, architectural, genealogical and historical heritage of the South, with emphasis on the Mid-South, Eastern and Southern states. TENNESSEE GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY
The Tennessee Genealogical Society is a non-profit, tax- exempt organization, completely staffed by volunteers. Located in Germantown in the same building as the Germantown Regional History and Genealogy Center (GRHGC).
