Trash, recycling, and yard-waste collection observe seven major holidays each year.

The holidays include:

• New Year's Day

• Martin Luther King Day

• Memorial Day

• Independence Day (July 4th)

• Labor Day

• Thanksgiving Day

• Christmas Day

The following holidays do not affect trash, recycling, and/or yard waste collection: President's Day, Good Friday, Juneteenth, Columbus Day, or Veterans Day.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The Sanitation collection schedule for the week will be as follows:

• Garbage, recyclables and commercial collection will occur the day after your regular collection day.   
  
  
• There will be no appliance pick up on Thursday, January 18th.  The next available appliance pick up will be Thursday, January 25th.
  

Memorial Day

The Sanitation collection schedule for the week will be as follows:

• Garbage, recyclables and commercial collection will occur the day after your regular collection day.   
  
  
• There will be no appliance pick up on Thursday, May 30th.  The next available appliance pick up will be Thursday, June 6th.

Independence Day (July 4th)

The Sanitation collection schedule for the week will be as follows:

• Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s garbage, recyclables and commercial collection will occur on your regular collection day.

• Thursday’s garbage, recyclables and commercial collection will occur the day after your regular collection day. 

• There will be no appliance pick up on Thursday, July 4^th. The next available appliance pick up will be Thursday, July 11^th.

Labor Day

The Sanitation collection schedule for the week will be as follows:

• Garbage, recyclables and commercial collection will occur the day after your regular collection day.  

• There will be no appliance pick up on Thursday, September 5^th.  The next available appliance pick up will be Thursday, September 12^th.

Thanksgiving 

The Sanitation schedule for the week is as follows:

• Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s garbage, recyclables and commercial collection will occur as regularly scheduled.
  
  
• Thursday’s garbage, recyclables and commercial collection will occur the day after your regular collection day.
  
  
• There will be no appliance pick up on Thursday, November 28^th.  The next available appliance pick up will be Thursday, December 5^th.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

The Sanitation division is working on Tuesday, December 24th.

Sanitation collection schedule for the week will be as follows:

• Monday’s and Tuesday’s garbage, recyclables and commercial collection will occur on your regular collection day.

• Wednesday’s and Thursday’s garbage, recyclables and commercial will occur the day after your regular collection day.

• There will be no appliance pick up on Thursday, December 26^th.  Appliance collection will resume on Thursday, January 9^th.

Sanitation collection schedule for the week will be as follows: 

• Monday’s and Tuesday’s garbage, recyclables and commercial collection will occur on your regular collection day.

• Wednesday’s and Thursday’s will occur the day after your regular collection day.

• There will be no appliance pick up on Thursday, December 26^th and January 2nd.  Appliance collection will resume on Thursday, January 9^th.
