Wastewater Treatment is responsible for the processing and treatment of sewer wastewater prior to being discharged into the Wolf River. The Town currently operates two sewage treatment facilities, which have a combined average treatment capacity of 9.5 million gallons per day.

The Northwest Waste Water Treatment Plant  expansion project cost the city approximately $20 million dollars and the Shelton Road Waste Water Treatment Plant upgrade approximately $7 million dollars. Since construction was completed on both plants there have been no National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit violations at either plants.

Construction for both the Northwest Waste Water Treatment Plant and Shelton Road Waste Water Treatment Plant was completed in 2008.
