PURPOSE/DUTIES/AUTHORITY OF BOARD: 
The Collierville Heritage Commission serves as the Town's authority on matters regarding the Town's history. Its mission is to preserve, interpret and impart knowledge of the history of the Town of Collierville and to foster an appreciation of its historic significance. The Commission also serves as an advisory body for the Morton Museum of Collierville History, evaluating objects for inclusion into the Museum's collection.

The Commission was formed in 2009, through passage of Ordinance 2009–19. Terms are served for five (5) calendar years beginning upon appointment by the Board of Mayor and Alderman and ending with the appointment of a successor. Officers are elected annually. Must be a resident of the Town of Collierville. Experience with historic preservation efforts shall be considered in the selection process. 

  

SCHEDULE 

Regular meetings are held six times a year at 4:00pm on the second Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September, and November.
